Set against the backdrop of 1990s Manhattan, four teenage girls are launched into the gritty and glamorous world of modeling...Imagine the banter of Call My Agent, the darkness of Euphoria, the deception and dysfunction of Succession, and the fashion and sorority of Sex and The City, and you have a taste of The Model Project.

When a world-renowned model scout brings a trust-fund princess, a high school bookworm, a trailer park teen and a poor Russian cocktail waitress to New York’s hottest model agency in 1995, it’s anybody’s guess who rises to the top and who gets a ticket home.

The Model Project begins with former model-turned-model scout, Eve Saint, combing the globe in search of new talent for The Agency. On her latest trip, she discovers Sloan, Sasha, RJ and Grace, The Agency’s soon-to-be newest stars. The series is centered around these four girls as they navigate their way in the modeling/fashion world while going from newly scouted and living in New York City to ready for the runway.

The girls entrust the model agents, who are a motley crew of “adults” with the responsibility of acting as surrogate parents, therapists and bodyguards. Ironically, as they expertly take care of their models, keeping their own lives together is a constant challenge. Their private lives are sacrificed while the success of the agency and its models take precedence.

You will be ushered into the world of fashion and modeling that was historically populated and protected by its elite. Beyond the glitz and glamorous facade lives a family of misfits who, amidst all the chaos, deal with the same trust issues, backstabbing and finding their places in the world as we all do.

The Model Project is loosely based on real-life experiences of models, agents and all the characters that encompassed this revered time in the modeling industry during the 90s and shows what ACTUALLY happened with no excuses and no apologies.
